of the Rector of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce

of 4 March 2020.

on the epidemiological risk of coronavirus (COVID-19)

In relation to the World Health Organisation (WHO) announcement on the epidemiological threat of coronavirus (causing COVID-19) and raising the global risk of the spread of coronavirus to very high, the Rector of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce has decided to suspend the departure and arrival of students, doctoral students and staff to/from the countries listed in the communication of the Chief Sanitary Inspector of 4 March 2020 i.e., China, Hong Kong, Iran, South Korea, Japan and Italy. The decision is effective from 4 March 2020 until further notice.

Bearing in mind the safety of mobility participants, we would like to inform you that Jan Kochanowski University students currently staying at Italian universities who decide to shorten their stay and return to their country will be supported by the staff of the Exchange and International Cooperation Department.

Students, doctoral students and employees of Jan Kochanowski University, as well as academic exchange participants from foreign universities can rely on the psychological assistance provided at the Crisis Intervention Point, located at ul. Śląska 11A, tel. 41 349-78-78.

At the same time, we would like to remind you to take all available precautions and to be extra vigilant. If a student is quarantined due to observation to rule out coronavirus infection (COVID-19), their absence from class should be considered justified.
