Communication from the Rector of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce concerning the cancellation of the Senate meeting on 19 March 2020.

Due to the possibility of an increase of the number of coronavirus infections in our country, for the safety of the academic community, and in order to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the meeting of the Senate of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce scheduled for 19 March 2020 is cancelled.

Given that, at this meeting, the Senate was to, among other things, give its opinion on the candidates for rector identified by the University Council, this decision will make it necessary to change the previously agreed deadlines for election activities.

The issue of the cancellation of the Senate meeting and the related consequences for the election process for the 2020-2024 term will be the subject of a meeting of the University Election Committee, which will take the relevant decisions in this regard in an emergency mode.

Information on the new date of the Senate meeting addressing the Senate's opinion on the candidates for Rector will be provided as soon as possible.
