PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Objective: Strengthen the innovative potential of the region by supporting the commercialisation of scientific achievements; expansion of the Faculty of Management and Administration.

Target group: students, JKU staff, entrepreneurs, companies.

The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business (CEaB) is a facility created in response to the needs of students and academic staff, with the aim of supporting the commercialisation of scientific achievements, reaching out to scientists and inventors in the Świętokrzyskie region, providing them with assistance in developing technical documentation of discoveries, including attracting companies interested in commercialising them. Among other things, this institution will be the first stage of acquiring practical managerial skills - from assimilating knowledge to creating a business plan for your own project.

The facilities located in the CEaB will professionally deal with the creation of visions for the development of the region, but also analyse the actions taken as part of the Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS) of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Given the need for scientific staff to be involved in this process, it is essential to create a place that responds to the needs of the scientific and economic sectors in the area of mutual cooperation.

The CEaB is the first stage of the expansion of the Faculty of Management & Administration, as part of the expansion of the JKU Campus - and is therefore a complementary investment to it.

The direct measurable effect of the project will therefore be the construction of a two-storey building with a floor area of approx. 1 700 m². It will include a lecture-conference hall, 5 lecture rooms, 2 computer rooms as well as research facility laboratories and administrative rooms. The centre will be equipped with furniture, necessary equipment and software to a total value of approximately 1.6 million PLN.

This investment will create new businesses, new services or products, research projects. CEMPI and APP will provide advice to companies and business environment institutions, cooperative links to the economy will be developed.

The creation of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business is therefore becoming an extremely important step towards strengthening the innovative potential of the region.

RESULTS OF THE PROJECT

• 2 cooperative links supported;
• 5 business environment institutions (BEIs) supported;
• 10 new FTEs directly created;
• 3 new research posts created;
• 1700 m²of expanded/refurbished facilities;
• 5 acquired intangible assets;
• 40 purchased fixed assets/tangible assets - value 1.6 million PLN;
• 5 scientific research conducted;

Result indicators to be achieved in 2018:

• 10 services provided to businesses by FDIs;
• 10 new businesses created with the support of the BEI;
• 10 enterprises supported by IOB.
