on the organisation of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) at the University

Pursuant to art. 66 of the Act of 27 July 2005 - Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws No. 164, item 1365) and § 37 of the Statutes of the Swietokrzyska Academy of the Jan Kochanowski in Kielce and on the basis of Resolution No. 41/2003 of the Senate of the Swietokrzyska Academy of Jan Kochanowski in Kielce of 30 October 2003 introducing the ECTS system of credits it is ordered as follows:

The duties of the Deputy Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs with regard to the implementation of the ECTS credit system at the University as the University's ECTS coordinator include:

1. to supervise the operation of the University's credit system in accordance with the ECTS;
2. preparing the part of the information package relating to the University;
3. coordinating activities related to the provision of information packages to partner universities;
4. updating information on the University edited according to ECTS information package creation rules;
5. contractual arrangements with the European Commission and the Socrates Erasmus National Agency for the ECTS system.

The responsibilities of the Deputy Dean of the Faculty with responsibility for teaching as the Faculty ECTS Coordinator include:

1. overseeing the procedures related to the allocation of ECTS credits to subjects within the faculties;
2. preparing part of the information package relating to the faculty;
3. promoting the ECTS system among students and faculty employees;
4. coordinating the establishment and continuation of cooperation with faculties of other universities;
5. coordinating activities related to the preparation and provision of information packages to partner universities;

The duties of the deputy director of the institute responsible for teaching as institute ECTS coordinator include:

1. the allocation of ECTS credits to subjects in a given field of study, in accordance with the rules laid down by the Faculty Board and the educational standards;
2. the preparation of the part of the information package relating to the field of study concerned and made available at the time stipulated in the study regulations;
3. promotion of the ECTS system among students and employees of the institute;
4. taking steps to establish interuniversity cooperation in the field of study concerned;
5. preparation of documents related to the study programme at the partner universities (requests, application forms, curriculum agreement, transcript of records, etc.);
6. supervision and responsibility related to students' change of study location;
7. providing conditions for incoming students to integrate into university life.

In justified cases, the deputy rector for teaching and student affairs, at the request of the dean or the director of an institute, may designate an academic staff member who does not hold the position of deputy dean or deputy director of an institute, respectively, to act as a faculty or institute ECTS coordinator.

1. Deans of faculties are required to make information packages available to potential institutional partners and to students and teachers at partner universities edited in accordance with the ECTS information packages development rules.
2. The conditions for study outside the home university are approved by the dean of the faculty at the request of the institute ECTS coordinator.

§6

Bilateral agreements with foreign universities concerning student exchange are concluded by the Rector.

The rules for the application of the ECTS credit system in the student education process are laid down in the University's study regulations.

§8

The Ordinance No. 6/2004 of the Rector of the Swietokrzyska Academy of Jan Kochanowski of 16 February 2004 on the organisation of the ECTS credit system in the University is repealed.

§9

The Ordinance shall enter into force on the date of signature.
