Token: A Journal of English Linguistics is published by the Jan Kochanowski University Press with the support     of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (USA), the University of Bergamo (Italy) and Jan Kochanowski University (Poland). Full text versions of articles published so far are freely available courtesy of the publisher.

Token focuses on English linguistics in a broad sense, taking in both diachronic and synchronic work, grammatical as well as lexical studies. That being said, the journal favors empirical research.

All submissions are double-blind peer reviewed.
Token is the original medium of publication for all articles that the journal prints.

Token is indexed in SCOPUS (Elsevier) and it has received the following evaluative comments: “The journal consistently includes articles that are scientifically sound and relevant to an international academic or professional audience in this field. The articles are consistently of high academic quality, consistent with the journal’s stated aims.” Token’s h-index is available from Scimago Journal Rank.

The journal is also listed in Sherpa Romeo, EBSCO (Academic Search Ultimate),
the European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS),
Index Copernicus (ICI Journals Master List), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ),

Token has been placed in the top rank of A-class scientific journals (Area 10) by the Italian Ministerial Agency for the Assessment of Research and University Teaching and Management (ANVUR) and it is included in the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers. The journal is currently indexed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education,
receiving a score of 40 points.
