- Why are so few activities done via remote teaching, e.g. using Skype?

- Will homework given online be evaluated?

During the period of suspension of didactic classes, the lecturers are obliged to implement classes using distance learning methods and techniques, regardless of whether it has been provided for in the study program, provided that the type of classes allows them to be conducted in a remote form. recommends such remote forms of conducting classes as: - UJK e-learning platform, - Office 365 (in particular MS Teams), - Virtual University, - other forms of electronic contact, e.g. e-mail, Skype, and YouTube. The academic teacher makes his own choice, also among other forms of electronic contact. Lecturers should contact students in a systematic manner, agreed with students, using the chosen messenger, send students materials to use, they may also ask for certain tasks, exercises, etc. They should inform in advance about this, as well as provide feedback on the exercises performed. According to the provisions of Regulation 68/2020 par. 1 point 2: Classes conducted remotely, which will allow students/students to obtain the assumed learning outcomes, will be treated as completed hours. There is no need to do their homework after returning to the university. Decisions in this matter will be taken at a later date.

How will the diploma exams be organized in the summer semester and when will they be held?

At the moment, not being sure when we will return to conducting classes in the traditional form, we must also take into account the possibility of conducting diploma exams in a remote form. The university must be prepared for this. According to the MNISW recommendation, the diploma exam can: - take place as part of synchronous online contact; - be conducted via video conference, web conference, remote teaching platform and other tools for synchronous group work; The examination board should verify the personal data of the student taking the diploma examination and draw up a report on the course of the diploma examination. The university should ensure that all members of the examination board can sign the protocol. After consultation with the deans of faculties/branches, we have confirmation that they are able to conduct diploma examinations in a remote form, but we need to think together about this formula and prepare detailed guidelines. We will try to meet the deadlines for planned defenses.

What will the implementation of apprenticeships planned for the summer semester look like?

Detailed rules for the implementation and crediting of internships at first and second cycle, uniform masters and postgraduate studies in the academic year 2019/2020 during the suspension of didactic classes are governed by the Order No. 96/2020 of the Rector of the Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce of 8 May 2020.

Internships planned for the summer semester will be able to be implemented partly remotely, it is also possible to recognize some of the internships implemented in an alternative way.

The implementation of internships looks different in each field of study. For some students, there are special provisions concerning internships, e.g. in the fields of medicine, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and emergency medical services - students who during the suspension of education at university performed activities as part of tasks carried out by medical entities or sanitary and epidemiological services in connection with SARS-CoV-2 virus infections, may apply for passing part of classes or groups of classes shaping practical skills, including practical classes and apprenticeships, to which learning outcomes including practical skills were assigned in the study program, which they acquired during the performance of these operations.

The condition of getting credit is a certificate containing information about the number of hours and the nature of the activities performed, issued by the entity in which the student performed these activities. (MNISW Regulation amending the regulation on educational standards for medical faculties).

However, there is a condition for medical faculties stating that in the academic year 2019/2020 a student undergoing studies preparing for the professions of: doctor, nurse, midwife, physiotherapist and paramedic can be obtained as part of classes conducted using teaching methods and techniques distance - a part of the learning outcomes assigned to classes shaping practical skills, including practical classes and apprenticeships, enabling obtaining no more than 20% of the number of ECTS points specified for these classes in the study program for the year of study in which this student is studying.

The possibility of recognizing some of the internships carried out remotely is designed for fields of preparation for the teaching profession. In the draft ordinance of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education changing teacher education standards - (project of 1 April) classes or groups of classes implemented in the form of apprenticeships can be implemented using distance learning methods and techniques. Students and participants of post-graduate studies preparing for the teaching profession, who during the suspension of education at post-graduate studies or temporary limitation of the functioning of education system units will carry out activities supporting teachers of kindergartens, schools or educational system institutions in conducting lessons or classes using methods and techniques distance education, they will be able to apply for passing part of classes or groups of classes implemented in the form of apprenticeships.

The condition of getting credit will be a certificate containing information about the number of hours and the nature of the activities performed, issued by the entity in which the student or post-graduate student performed these activities.

As soon as the draft regulation enters into force, teachers' tutors will inform students about it.

In addition, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of April 1 this year. in other fields of study it will be possible to shorten the duration of internships and in an alternative way achieve learning outcomes, e.g. by conducting classes in the form of exercises or laboratories (e.g. simulations) remotely.

The pass condition is the tutor's assessment confirming that the learning outcomes have been achieved and a certificate containing information about the number of hours and the nature of the activities performed issued by the entity in which the student performed these activities.

How can you obtain a certificate confirming the status of a student at the moment?

Students who want to receive a certificate confirming the status of a student apply by e-mail to the employees of a given dean's office / branch for issuing a certificate, after which it is sent to the student by traditional mail or e-mail.
