STRESZCZENIE
Istotą współczesnej edukacji jest wspieranie rozwoju, z którym identyfikowane są cele wychowania. Każde dziecko to osoba niepowtarzalna, mająca własne cele, zainteresowania i potrzeby oraz indywidualne doświadczenia społeczne i intelektualne. Współczesna szkoła powinna dać uczniom możliwość zdobywania doświadczeń i przekształcania ich w kompetencje oraz podejmowania własnej aktywności. Proces kształcenia oparty na samodzielności i aktywności, wiązaniu poznania z działaniem oraz respektowaniu indywidualnego profilu inteligencji to podstawa nowoczesnej szkoły. Teoria inteligencji wielorakich wpisuje się w dzisiejszą rzeczywistość edukacyjną. Bogate i inspirujące środowisko edukacyjne, diagnoza zdolności, możliwości, zainteresowań, potrzeb ucznia, dobór takich metod nauczania uczenia się, które pozwolą mu na wykorzystanie mocnych stron w celu rozwijania zdolności oraz wspomagania słabszych inteligencji, przyczyniają się do wspomagania dziecka w rozwoju umysłowym, fizycznym, motorycznym, emocjonalnym i społecznym. Teoria H. Gardnera daje podstawę do ponownego zrozumienia wpływu wszechstronnej stymulacji na rozwój dziecka.

SUMMARY
Supporting children development is the essence of modern education, and its aims are identified with development. Each child is a unique person having its own goals, interests and needs, as well as individual social and intellectual experiences. Modern school should provide students with opportunity to gain experience transformed them in competences, and take up personal activity. The process of education based on self-reliance and initiative, connecting cognition with action, as well as respect for individual intelligence profile are essentials of modern school. Theory of multiple intelligences suits current educational reality. Rich and inspiring educational environment, diagnosis of students abilities, capabilities, interests, needs, a selection of such teaching-learning methods which allow students to take advantage of strong points in order to develop abilities and support weak intelligences contribute to supporting children in mental, physical, motor, emotional and social development. H. Gardners theory is fundamental for new understanding of the influence of many-sided stimulation on child development.
