THE AIM OF FORUM
The aim of the forum is to propagate the idea of a healthy lifestyle in the context of ageing of societies, the exchange of ideas and experiences as well as presenting the results of scientific research towards functioning of man in health and sickness. The Forum is one of the elements of a great venture taken up by the Jan Kochanowski University of Humanities and Sciences in Kielce, Holycross Cancer Center and the Government of Kielce and the Region, concerning the Tumour Prevention Centre in Kielce.
THE LANGUAGE OF THE FORUM
The official language of the Forum will be Polish, English and Russian.

PROGRAM OF THE FORUM Inauguration lecture PLENARY SESSION – presentations of invited guests from Poland and abroad Propositions of thematic blocks concerning particular science sessions: I. ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS FOR HUMAN HEALTH AND SAFETY - hygiene and epidemiology of food and nutrition - environmental health threats - environmental protection - biophysical conditioning of diseases - habitat conditioning of health
II. CLINICAL SESSION - ethics and deontology in medical professions - lifestyle and civilisation diseases threat - treatment of ill people of old age - difficulties, challenges, therapy risk - chemo-prophylactic, screening examination and combined treatment of large intestine cancer - efficiency of primary and secondary preventive measures of cervix cancer - breast cancer in practise of family doctor and oncologist - invasive cardiology in acute coronary syndrome - multi-organ injuries of the body
III. NURSING SESSION - heath education in heath, illness and handicap - care over mother and child in Poland and in the world - nursing and obstetrics in the European Union - educational and occupational aspect - challenges of modern nursing in nursing practise IV. AUXOLOGICAL SESSION - basic problems of public heath in the care system and heath policy concerning children and youths in Poland and EU countries - preventive measures of youths’ problematic behaviours - morpho-functional development of population in various periods of ontogenesis in the aspect of positive health measurement instruments - kinetics and dynamics of development in the aspect of genetic and environmental conditions - clinical auxology about growth and maturation of children with different type of deviations in heath state
V. GERONTOLOGICAL SESSION - interdisciplinary dimension of human’s ageing process - social policy towards the process of ageing of societies - problems of medical care over adults and old people - modern attitude in treatment of rheumatic diseases - marginalisation of old people - security of old people in the context of various scientific disciplines - modern challenges of geriatric care - modern challenges of geragogy
VI. PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION - physical activeness and heath - early neuro-developmental diagnosis in creating healthy society model - physical medicine in preventive measures of disease and handicap - physiology of exercise in subsequent decades of life - specific aspects of geriatric physiotherapy - modern methods of physiotherapy in degenerative processes - Heath and illness in light of traditional Chinese medicine - improvements in swellings - sport of handicapped people
VII. WORKSHOPS Workshops will be run by representatives from China, Russia and Japan. Those workshops will refer to use of unconventional methods of strengthening health by using forms of activity such as: Qi Gong, Tai-Chi, Yoga; taking into consideration support for the process of treating the ill.
VIII. POSTER SESSION
Formal requirements concerning manuscripts Summary in Polish and English as well as up to 5 key words. The summary must include the aim of work, material and methods, results as well as discussion and conclusions. 1 page of summary for original research and 1/2 for casuistic studies are recommended. Text should be written in 12-point font with one-and-a-half spacing, and margins: upper and lower - 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right - 4 cm. You need JavaScript enabled to view it The participation in the Forum was accepted by respectable national periodicals i.a.: Public Health, General Medicine, Hygiene and Epidemiology, Environmental Medicine, Medical Studies; and foreign, from the so-called Philadelphian List: Polish Journal of Environmental Studies. Participants will be able to choose the periodic, from the list proposed by the Organisers of the Forum, where they would like the results of presented works to be publicised. Printing of the work will be possible after receiving a positive review from the Science Council of the chosen periodic as well as paying the obligatory fee for printing the work (if such stands) set by the Editorial Board of the periodic. Precise information will be stated in Announcement II which will appear in autumn 2009. Cost of participation Conference fee – 800 zł includes: conference materials, meals, ceremonial dinner, tour. The Organization Committee are making efforts to gain EU funds within Human Capital tasks, which may influence a significant reduction in costs of participation in the Forum. The cost of hotel service will be covered by the participants in their own individual capacity, according to rates set by hotels. Those intending to avail themselves of rooms in the proposed hotels are requested to send in a declaration as a possibility to pre-book the rooms by Organisers of the Forum exists. The Organisers do not provide for the repayment of any costs on grounds of resignation from participating in the Forum.
