Institute of Biology is one of the five institutes within The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Currently it is located in the new faculty building on 15 Świętokrzyska Street.
Within its didactic framework the institute provides full and extra-mural studies, that includes three-year licentiate (Bachelor of Science) and two-year complementary studies (Master of Science) with General and Environmental Biology major.
Students finishing licentiate studies, gain certificate that entitles them to teach biology in schools.
Institute of Biology also provides post-graduate studies: “Modern methods in analysis of environment”, "Medical biology with diagnostic elements".
